SAN JOAQUIN RAN COUNTY’S DECISION TO NOT OPEN BEACH FOR 4TH JULY WAS MADE WEDNESDAY. THEY DECIDED THAT THE BACTERIA LEVEL IS JUST A LITTLE HIGH RIGHT NOW. THIS IS A REALLY BAD TIME, BUT THEY DECIDED THE HEAT AND THE KIND OF WILDLIFE COMING AND DOING WHATEVER THEY DO, GOT THE BACTERIA Despite the BACTERIA levels, people are still allowed to kayak and paddle board. It’s not clear when the beach will reopen, but there are other ways to enjoy the water. It’s a great place to hang out. IT’S SAFE. The festivities will end with a bang once the sun sets tonight. So WE SHOULD HAVE AN IMMENSE SHOW. YEAH IT’LL SHOT OFF RIGHT FROM EDGE THE LAKE. AND, UM EVERYONE WILL ABLE SEE IT WHEREVER THEY ARE. The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 930. You still have plenty of time to come down here and find a spot. A REMINDING IS ALSO BEING GIVEN TO THE PEOPLE IN LODI TO STAY HYDRATED. Lodi Lake’s bacteria has not stopped people from celebrating Fourth of July. Although people are not allowed to swim on the beach, they can kayak or paddleboard in other areas of the lake. “We are just not allowing people to swim in the water. The county decided that the bacteria levels are just a bit too high at this time, which is a really bad timing. The county issued this statement on Wednesday: “The water in Lodi lake is regularly tested to ensure the safety of its patrons.” Due to the high temperatures, there are elevated levels of bacteria in the water that make it unsafe for swimmers. According to the County Public Safety Policy, swimming in the lake will be prohibited until further notice. Swimming in the lake is not permitted. The beach area and wading pools will be open. Enze Pool will be open for public swimming on 7/4 from 2-6PM. This closure will not affect the Lodi Boathouse. Despite the high bacterial levels, people can still kayak and paddleboard. The Lodi Boathouse assured its customers that the rest of Lake Lodi is safe. As far as the rest is concerned, water is flowing in the river and lake. It’s much cooler. It’s deeper. It’s deeper.
