Premature Passing of Professor Sergio Minucci, Advocate for Internationalization and Mobility

Professor Sergio Minucci, Full Professor of Applied Biology and Delegate for Internationalization and Mobility at Vanvitelli University, passed away prematurely yesterday.

“Sergio, a person with rare human qualities and a dear friend forever, has been, since the beginning, at the service of the University and the Academic Community with enthusiasm, generosity, and passion,” says Gianfranco Nicoletti, Rector of the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli. “Kind and available to everyone, he worked hard to make the University known internationally. Always close to the students, he was also a passionate researcher. We will all miss the teacher, the scientist, the friend,” concludes the Rector.

Scientific research has always been at the center of his commitment. His studies focused on male reproduction and, lately, on the damage caused by microplastics on the reproductive system.
