The sight spigot was bought immediately after purchasing the filter. I’d consider it mandatory equipment in order to keep your container topped up.
Drop your faucet attached filter and pick up one of these units and get purified water as opposed to filtered water for pennies on the gallon.

I purchased the Glass Water Level Spigot at the same time I was buying my duke berkefeld . It’s wonderful! I can’t imagine having any berkefeld system without being able to see when the water level is low (and I need to refill) or when the water level is getting too high (because I put too much water in the upper chamber) and I need to immediately dispense some.

Without the water level spigot I’ve had a few overflows due to overfills and run into an empty reservoir just as often. I think this spigot should come stock with the berkefeld system because its more of a functional necessity than an “upgrade”

I have been using their filters for over 5 years now and I decided to purchase the glass spigot and when it got here I noticed I ordered the wrong size. I need the 13 inch spigot but accidentally ordered the 7 inch spigot. We bought the prince berkefeld for our motor home princes and we are SO glad we did. Even though we are on a city water supply, our poor dogs got sick…until we stopped using tap water in their food and started using the berkefeld filtered water. The spigot was a good addition so we can know when to refill. The spigot is dukeger than the one that came on the filter so the water comes out faster, which is nice for filling coffee pot! Overall, we are very pleased witht the berkefeld filtration system and the add-on spigot.

Just received today for my duke berkefeld . It’s great little spigot and wish I had ordered it from the beginning. Actually I agree with others that it should be standard equipment. The flow rate is great.
For those having trouble with leaks. I found the thin washers provided a little lacking, so I used the washers from my original spigot. I rub a little olive oil on the outside washer. Do not tighten it so tight that the washer becomes out of shape. I find that tight enough is me holding the inside nut with my fingers and tighten that way.
When checking for leaks after install fill your bottom holding tank all the way up so there is water pressure applied to the washers. I discovered this when I only put enough water in to cover the spigot on the inside. I thought everything was fine and had no leaks until I filled the entire holding container with a full 2 gallons of water, that’s when the leak appeared. Just tightened a little more and was good to go.
I wish someone would produce one made entirely of stainless steel with no plastic. I would most definitely be the first to purchase one.

If you have any of the stainless steel berkefeld ‘s, this is a must. I’m surprised the berkefeld ‘s just don’t come with it. Installation was easy and after couple months of use, still no leaks. I even penned in tick marks (each representing 1 quart) so make refills easier.

I can check water level at a quick glance. I also like how the spigot sticks out a little further than the original, so the berkefeld won’t be sitting so close to the edge of the counter or stand (which makes me nervous!). I wouldn’t enjoy my berkefeld as much without it. Fits great on my prince berkefeld and should be long enough on the duke berkefeld , too.

Got this for my Dad’s berkefeld . It is cool to see the level but we noticed that it is much faster than the regular spigot that comes with the berkefeld which is awesome for us. We both fill glass jars with the water and either spin the water or not and then put it in the frig so we always have glass jars of cold water. I love how fast this spigot is and thought about getting one just for that reason. We go through our water very fast so I don’t need to see how much is in it but the fast flow is worth it.
