very expensive compared to Proone and other vendors for smaller/shorter filters. Doesn’t seem to have a 9 inch filter available. My gravity system requires 3 filters so I had to buy 2 sets of 2. The taste and clarity of the water seems good so far. Haven’t spent to test the water before and after filtration because the $280+ for the filters kind of broke the bank.

These Berkefled filters are very similar to the Propur blue bottom that we had used for 5+ years, but twice the price. Of course since Porpur sold out the filters are now not as good with many complaints.
The Propur were supposed to filter flouride as well, but these Berkefeld flouride filters take almost twice as long to filter the same amount of water through.
The water has an odd aftertaste that we didn’t have with the Propur filters we’re hoping fades in time, although this Berkefeld water does seem softer?

First time trying the 7 “All in one ceramic ultra filter to replace the 4 filters You need for my Berkey travel system. I am super happy with the British Water filters. Only need 2 filters in the upper chamber. Just note that it does take a good 4 times before the water starts filtering at a fast enough speed. After that it works great! So nice that you don’t have to do all the pre prep work to the filters like you do with the Berkey ones. Will definitely buy again.

So far, okay. The water tastes fine. My older black filters held water in the top drum but for some reason, when the lower drum is filled and I add water, the top drum flows over. Not sure if this is a filter issue (perhaps not) but I didn’t have this issue prior to these new filters being installed.
