Two beaches in Menominee Michigan are closed due to high E.coli levels – FOX 11.

MENOMINEE (WLUK) – Officials have warned people not to swim at two Upper Peninsula beaches because of high E.coli levels.

According to a post on Facebook Wednesday by the city of Menominee the swimming beaches in John Henes Park, and Veterans’ Memorial Park were temporarily closed because public health officials had detected high levels E.coli.

Officials say that the water is unsafe for contact with humans at this time.

Both beaches have warning signs. The water will be retested by public health officials on Friday.
